Kentucky Derby Picks!

Good Morning It’s DERBY DAY!!!

So I’ve got your Kentucky Derby picks right here: 5, 1, 6 (California Chrome, Vicar’s in Trouble, Samraat)

I’m working it as a box exacta and box trifecta.  I’m hoping Chrome doesn’t win, so the payoff will be better.

If you are unsure about who to pick, here are 6 strategies you can use on a $20 budget.

Good Luck out there, and you are welcome

There is also a pick 3, pick 4 and pick 6 on Derby day this year.

Here are my selections:

6th Race: 9 to win (Centre Court); 7 to show (Ready Signal)

Center Court is an obvious win, Ready signal should offer decent Exacta pays.

7th Race: 3 to win (Judy the Beauty); 5 or 8 to show (Scherzinger, Midnight Lucky)

Judy is the clear choice, the race is for second.

8th Race: 10 to win (Picozza); 1 or 11 to place and show in some order (Cleburne, Woodfield Springs)

This is a difficult handicap for me, Picozza has a severe lack of class in her, Cleburne has only had 3 starts but has improved in each, could be a long pay.  Global View the favorite looked lazy recently, and lost to Picozza head to head so I removed him from my picks.

9th Race: 4 to win (Sahara Sky); 10 to show (Delaunay)

Saharay Sky has the most class in the field, and has run the most consistent times over the past 16 months.

10th Race: 1 to win (Wise Dan).  This won’t pay well, so I’m only going with exotics. 5 and 10 are my pick for place and show in some order (Kaigun, See Again); after that 9 would be behind (Skyring) for a $0.50 super boxed.

Wise Dan is a super horse and will win this race.

Derby: 5, 1, 6 (California Chrome, Vicar’s in Trouble, Samraat) as a boxed exotic. My fourth horse would be 10 (Wildcat Red)
