OK, so yesterday was not my best, but I did nail both over/under bets and please understand I usually find it harder to do than getting the spread right.
Not surprisingly both of these spreads for today’s games have moved up 1. To favor the home teams. So with that said let’s get to it.
Pacers @Wizards -4.5 o/u 184 I feel this series has potential to be big if beal and Wall go both get going offensively in the same game. George Hill and Paul George are not having good a series offensively fg% wise. Although Ariza was huge in game 1 he struggled in game 2 and even though he only chipped in 6 the Wiz still covered the +4.5 with a 4 pt loss. Marcin Gortat has played better than anyone would have hoped while Hibbert has been up and down and mostly down in these playoffs. I still see the wizards with the advantage defensively and offensively with better outside shooters even with Arizas regression to the mean in his 3pt%. In 38 home games during the regular season he has hit 76 of 200 3’s attempted for an avg 38% he is currently shooting 51% in the playoffs. That being said expect Lance “the 8th Grader” Stevenson to match his intensity and help push the tempo and the total score over.
My pick Wiz ease on down to a victory of 8-13 pts on Beal, Ariza and Gortat outplaying their counterparts Lance Paul George and Hibbert for an easy home win. Final score 102-92 for the Wizards.
The second game is OKC @ the Clippers for another offensive show of strength. As every game has been in the hundreds for both teams and the first one there wins. With both the Clippers and Thunder scoring over 100 pts in every playoff game except 2 in the first round against defense minded Grizzlies and less so but improved Golden State. I see this game being higher than Snoop lion at Eastern Parkway on the West Indian day parade. And with the split in Oklahoma and the Clippers playing better defense so far than OKC in this series.
My pick is the Over 214.5 and Clippers -4 at home with Russell Westbrook putting on a show for his hometown. He won’t be able to do it all alone as sefolosha and Ibaka will struggle. Safe bet is the over, but if you to parlay take the Wiz -4.5 and the over 214.5 for Clippers OKC.
