Game 5 WCF Thunder @ Spurs

Game was a tremendous show for Westbrook and Durant combining for over 70pts together to even the series. Ibaka has made a huge difference and clearly isn’t as hurt as once previous thought. His impact defensively is incredible on the Spurs ability to drive and the Spurs as a whole cannot guard Westbrook effectively for long stretches.

For the Spurs to be able to take a 3-2 series lead at home they must first solve the problem of fast break points and mustering some up off of their deep bench. Duncan will have to play way more efficiently along with parker and Leonard stepping up their outside shooting for the remainder of the series in order to give them selves an opportunity to win.

The Line tonight is -5 Spurs and an Over/Under 206.

My pick is the over of 206; mainly because I believe this will be an offensive battle considering the lack of long travel for both teams and low minutes played by the Spurs starters in games 3 & 4. The spread is a tough one because if you think the Spurs win they should cover as no game has been decided by less than 8 pts in this series. Given the play of Danny Green and Tiago Splitter I have them as a win but not strong win though. Ibaka and Reggie Jackson have given them enough to win, but must step it up if the Thunder hope to continue this streak of dominance. A backdoor cover seems unlikely as the Thunder don’t usually play the Spurs close based on history and matchup wise.
