NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship 2015

Good Morning sports betters!

It’s the title game for the 2015 season.

We have Wisconsin 36-3 (-1) vs Duke 34-4, and a O/U of 139.5.

By now we’ve all seen the semi final games and or witnessed the strong and steady Wisconsin attack that’s been on display for months now. Large guards who are able to withstand ball pressure and shoot well deep helped Wisconsin stand up to UK’s pressure D and gave them an edge on outside shooting during the Saturday semi final. I also think UK didn’t shoot enough from deep. They went 3-5 3PT (60%) vs 7-17 (41%) for Wisc. Maybe they were focused on getting the ball inside to Towns (7-11 FG%, 9 Reb. 1 Blk), but their could get buckets when they wanted down the stretch. UK shot 48.1% vs 47.9% for Wisc, so that was not statistically different. After the game more than a few comments from fans and talking heads on networks have mentioned the refs and the disparity of foul calls against UK, they shot 90% on 9-10 vs 81.8% on 18-22 for Wisc.

My opinion is that the game was closely called, both teams were closely matched and the refs didn’t really push the outcome to one side or the other. Wisconsin just out played UK because Bo Ryan coached John Calipari when he sped up his offense early on.  Coach Ryan from the start decided to run plays that attacked the UK big men. They turned the attacking dribble drives with aggressive shooting into offense by getting offensive boards.  That is what helped turn the game toward Wisconsin.

I think Wisconsin wins tonight over Duke and hits the Under. I feel more confident about Wisconsin winning than I do about the Under, so I’m betting just the First Half heavy for the Badgers.

Good luck out there, and hopefully we’ll end the NCAA Men’s season with a W.

See you all again in November!
