Eastern Conference Finals Game 1

Tonights game one of the ECF is a matchup most called in February. The Cavaliers @ Hawks -1 over under 199.5 total points. Without Kevin Love to help Lebron overtook the with many assists from Kyrie Irving who had chance to rest with 3 days off in between the end and the start of this series with and ankle and Hamstring injuries. Irving will be huge in this series as I think he can outplay Jeff Teague at a key position for the Hawks. Lebron and his ability to score will force the entire Hawks team to make the correct play and limit turnovers as the rest of this Cavs team have what it takes to get to the Finals.

The Hawks will need more from Milsap and Horford which is where that have a distinct offensive advantage. They will need to elevate their game to a higher level play to overcome the disadvantage in the frontcourt.

The Spread is -1 and the over under is 199.5. I see that as too high and the spread is way to close as the Hawks should be favored by 2.5 but I guess more money has come in on the Cavs. The series odds are reflective of that. With the Cavs at -210 and the Hawks at -180 outright series win. The under seems safe as both of these teams have key players playing through injuries. Game one I have to give the advantage to the Hawks as they will be very prepared and have been a more complete team all season and throughout these playoffs. My pick the Atlanta Hawks -1 and the under 199.5 total points.

And as always “If doesn’t make $$$’s it don’t make sense”
