Hi folks, big rivalry week here with Michigan and Ohio st and Bedlam occurring as well with Baylor and TCU also looming big as both games will decide if the big 12 participates in the college football playoffs. Also pay attention to the American Athletic Conferences final week as Temple Houston, South Florida and Navy battle for what is the best conference of the group of five and a former BCS AQ conference for all you college football diehards out there. 7 games this week I’m going to pick for you as well more for premium subscribers on Pick tracker.
Ohio state @ Michigan big game for bog blue but sadly unless Michigan State loses to Penn State this will not decide the Big 10 east. Michigan is slim favorite at -1 I think because they are at home and this why they hired harbaugh to win these games and with ohio State losing at the second at home I find it hard to believe They rebound to win this one.
Pick: Michigan go big blue.
Baylor @TCU -1.5 pts; Baylor just lost their second starting QB this year to a broken ankle. Trevone Boykin may still unsure about doctoson. either way this is for the fiesta bowl as oklahoma is playing their way into the Playoffs. Pick: TCU -1.5
Navy at Houston +1; This game is important as it will decide from the group of five who will go to the AAC Championship game. Houston will have to rebound after dropping one UConn last week in disappointing fashion. Having beaten Memphis at home I believe they should be able to handle the Navy Midshipmen. and although my Grandfather served in the NAVY their battleship will be sunk. Pick Houston+1
Western Michigan @ Toledo -8; The only reason I am covering this game is because it is still possible for Toledo to creep into the Playoffs as they are ranked again and bowling green will be in the MAc title game as well at 10-2. I see this as easy win for Toledo who will come out on fire to win this one to make sure they get a conference title and a shot at a major bowl game. Pick Toledo -8
Iowa @ Nebraska +1.5; This is the a huge game and why the Big expanded to 14 teams to make this a reality and assure that each season a team from their conference would included in the Playoffs 2-2 against the Cornhuskers since they joined the Big 10 aka the Big 14. Nebraska has lost the last two years as they are rebuilding the program and Iowa is rising. last years game was an OT thriller, aside from the pressure of school investigating the conduct of the Tommy Armstrong and receiver Jordan Westerkamp . Pick Iowa -1.5
Alabama @ Auburn +14; Bama should win this game, but this issue of how much is the real question here as 14 pts is big ask from this team to win by as they may not have enough to cover this as auburn lives for this game if they can’t win the SEC title taking down Bama and another Iron bowl is as big as it gets. with common opponents such texas A&M and Mississippi giving the rest of teams paying attention a blueprint to beat the tide this year by making them win through the air which they cannot really do. upset alert is big on this game here I think they can regroup and pull this off. Pick Auburn +14 you take pts but a money line bet may get you the better odds.
UMass @ Buffalo-6.5 last and definitely least in this picture my very own Buffalo Bulls trying to become bowl eligible in there first year under new Head Coach Lance Leipold and would have likely gone 6-6 last aside froma cancelled game with the all time leading passer in school history playing his last game at home and two very capable RB’s in Anthone Taylor and Jordan johnson I know this will be a high scoring game as UMass has good Qb in Blake Frohnapfel in 2700 yards and 16 ints and 11 td the passing corps has been sub par but expect to hear to hear from this kid again he will be on an NFL roster next year. Pick Buffalo -6.5 easy win the Bulls as they have never lost to Umass since both have stepped up to FBS or I-A football.
And as always” if doesn’t make$$$ it don’t make sense.”
