Did you play the lineup I suggested for NFL Week 9? If you did, you won just like I did!
This week I’m mostly focusing on 50/50 double ups (contests where just about half the people win double their money) and multipliers and even the large contests and I’m focusing on contests that don’t allow a large number of multiple entries. I’m hoping that keeping the entries to >10 will not allow guys to mass produce lineups and get lucky. I think this is especially important for the 50/50 double up contests.
My main week 10 lineup:
QB Philip Rivers Mia@SD – The Chargers offense is consistent every week, and they are facing a middle of the road Miami D. Miami is 10th in DVOA, which is great, but their offense is awful so the D is on the field a lot. It’s also a home game for the Chargers. I think they’ll cover the 4.5 and I’m expecting a big performance from their Offense.
RB Matt Forte LA@NYJ – Forte is getting all of the carries, the Rams are in the bottom 10 in DVOA, they’re playing a west coast team at a 1pm EST start and the Rams are terrible on Offense so the Jets will have lots of chances to move the ball. If Bryce Petty starts, it could be a big day for Forte, since the Jets might try to simplify their offense for the young QB.
RB David Johnson SF@Ari – The Niners are awful on defense and they’re on the road. Johnson should get plenty of work and he could have a gigantic day. He’ll be owned heavily in most contests, so I’m trying to only play contests that have a low number of multiple entries allowed.
WR Cole Beasley Dal@Pit – Beasley is the check down option in the Dallas O. If he gets into a rhythm with WB Dax Prescott he’ll be heavily involved. I anticipate he’ll get 10 targets and 8 catches, depending on how the Steelers decide to cover the run and/or Dez Bryant.
WR J.J. Nelson SF@Ari – JJ is the second option on the Cardinals passing attack. Niners are awful, so I expect a big day from the Cards.
WR Dontrelle Inman Mia@SD – Miami secondary is just ok, I’m handcuffing an uncommonly held WR because I think Rivers will have a huge Game.
TE Greg Olsen KC@Car – A favorable match up for the main Panther passing target. Cam doesn’t score a ton lately, but he does throw for a good number of yards each week.
FLEX Melvin Gordon Mia@SD – Gordon is the workhorse of the Chargers O. I handcuffed him to Rivers because I think he’ll catch passes out of the backfield.
DST Jaguars Hou@Jax – The Texans are terrible on offense. All the Jags have to do is keep in front of the guys and don’t give up any huge plays to a terrible team. I think it’ll work out, but it is the largest gamble in this lineup.
Good Luck out there!
